We carry nothing but the best Cowgirls, and with our patented Elemental Potions, they produce more milk per cow than any in the region!
Life ain't all milk and cookies though. Weird naked aliens have been attacking our ranch and stealing our cows.
Upgrade your cows, Milk them to grow their strength, and take care of the ornery alien invaders!

Contextual Controls:
Q: While on the Farm, opens the Quest Log
Spacebar: While in a dialogue, press "Spacebar" to continue the dialogue.
Game Instructions:
Upgrading Cows: Click the "Upgrade" button, then click the cow you want to upgrade. Select a potion and watch them evolve and grow! You can get more potions by completing quests. While on the farm, press 'Q' to open your Quest Log.
Milking: Click the 'Milking' button, then click the cow you want to milk. Milking Elemental cows will cause them to grow in size and become stronger! There might be even more rewards for milking your cows too...
Buying Cows: Click the "Buy Cow" button to purchase a new Grazing Cow. Cows in your herd are brought into battle with you, so make sure they're strong as can be!
Alien Invasion: Once you have no more energy for farming, take your herd to the fields and fend off the alien invaders! Place Grazing Cows to produce Grass, and place Elemental cows to defend them.

is there anything to do after you've unlocked all the cow types or no?
Hey thanks for playing! Once you've unlocked all the cows and seen all the CGs there isn't much else to do besides watch your cows walk around the ranch, which I think is kind of cute haha.
Will there be more added in a future update or are you taking things slow with this.
We have a fix for the quest log bugs ready and I would like to implement a proper in-game tutorial, but for the spirit of the jam we won't update the game until the voting phase is done.
Your question did make my brain explode with some potential ways we could put an actual ending into the game, so we might be able to add that as well, but I think we plan to keep this about the same size as it is right now (no pun intended >.>)

What do the wood cows do?
Thanks for playing! The wood cows act as walls, though they aren't very effective at it in this build. If we update this we'll likely give them a more distinct purpose.
Fun little game inspired by Plants vs Zombies. Nice illustrations when milking upgraded cows. Quest log doesn't seem to properly track progress but I think you still get the rewards anyway. Would have been nice to have a description of what elemental type do (like the grazing cow give points while only the fire and water cow seems to shoot, all the other types do nothing except slow down aliens).

For sure descriptions were in our initial idea but we ran out of time.
The Earth line in this build is a bit busted haha, maybe you can spot why. Metal cows should also shoot, but wood cows are basically just walls (might be why they pout so much)
